New Balance Great Lake Relay
Start: Redoubt St, Tongariro North Domain, Taupo
Finish: Tongaririo North Domain, Taupo
Runners:
Each team must consist of ten - eighteen runners who each must complete
one or two legs. There are eighteen 5.2km to 14.4km legs in total.
Teams with an estimated time of more than 14 hours are required
to register for the 2.00am start on Saturday 20 February and teams
with an estimated time of under 14 hours are required to register
for the 3.00am start on Saturday 20 February.
A
maximum of 125 teams are permitted to start at any one start time
for safety and traffic congestion issues. Once this maximum has
been reached teams will be issued with an alternative start time.
Teams will be notified of this upon confirmation of their entry
in their team managers booklet.
Walkers:
Each team must consist of ten - eighteen members who must walk one
or two legs. There are eighteen 5.2km to 14.4km legs in total. Teams with an estimated time of more than 18 hours are required to register for the 9.00pm start on Friday 19th February and teams with an estimated time of under 18hours are required to register for the 10.30pm start on Friday 19th February.
Composite:
(Runners & Walkers): each team must consist of ten - eighteen
members. There are eighteen 5.2km to 14.4km legs in total. Walkers must complete legs 1, 3, 4, 9, 10, 15, 16. Team
members may either run or walk legs 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14,
17, 18.
Teams with an estimated time of more than 17hours 30minutes are
required to register for the 10.30pm start on Friday 19 February
and teams with an estimated time of under 17hours 30minutes are
required to register for the 11.30pm start on Friday 19 February.

Nature Valley Length Of The Lake
Start: Pukawa Reserve, Kaiuru Ave, Pukawa

Each team must consist of five - eight runners who each must complete one or two legs. There are eight 4.7km to 15km legs in total.
Start time is 8.30am on Saturday 20 February.
Walkers:
Each team must consist of five - eight walkers who each must complete one or two legs. There are eight 4.7km to 15km legs in total.
Start time is 7.30am on Saturday 20 February.
Composite:
(Runners & Walkers):Each team must consist of five - eight members who each must complete one or two legs. There are eight 4.7km to 15km legs in total. Walkers must complete legs 1, 5, 6. Team members may either walk or run legs 2, 3, 4, 7, 8.
Start time is 7.30am on Saturday 20 February.
Barfoot & Thompson 100k Individuals:

A new flat, fast course has been introduced for the 2010 event.
One person completes 100km starting on the Tongariro North Domain running/walking south on SH1 for 12.5km, returning to the domain to complete 25km. Competitors then repeat this course to complete the 100km distance.
Training awards donated by Barfoot & Thompson are as follows (minus with-holding tax).
First Male & Female - $3000 each
Second Male & Female - $2000 each
Third Male & Female - $1000 each
Start time for walkers is Friday midnight and runners is Saturday 20 February at 3.15am.
Important: To be eligible for the above training awards competitors must start at 3.15am Sat 20 Feb.
This is also the New Zealand
100km Championship.
All individuals must have a support crew.
Two Person Team (2 x 50km)
Each competitor completes 50 consecutive km's starting on the Tongariro North Domain running/walking south on SH1 for 12.5km returning to the domain to complete 25km. Competitors run or walk this course two times to complete their 50kms. The second team member completes the same course. Start time for walking teams is Friday midnight and running/composite teams is Saturday 20 February at 3.15am.
Important:
All competitors
must complete the course by 6.00pm. Competitors may be removed from
the event by the race referee, Event Directors or Medical staff
for medical reasons at any stage during the event. A map showing
course distance markers will be available at registration, a full
course description is available here.
Total times will be recorded by the organisers.
Catch-Up
Legs - Great Lake Relay
Teams are able to do catch-up
legs at the start of legs 5, 11 and 17 if you are more than half
and hour behind the last estimated time at leg 4, 10 or 16. You
should only use a catch-up leg as a last resort to ensure your team
finishes by 6.00pm. Full details on catch-up legs are available
